We’ve been online now for about a year, and we have been watching how the site gets used, which features are the most important to you, and trying to figure out what we can do to make your visit here more enjoyable.

Some of the new features for the site include:

• Easier to use, cleaner layout
• Now anyone can comment on an article/news event! No need to log in!
• Facebook integration!
• Much easier for our Pastors and staff to add new information, include pictures and video clips, and so on. We can now focus on providing you with quality updates, rather than fighting the system.

Parts of the old website didn’t make the cut this time around. We’re sorry for any inconvenience.

• The forums- they were used very infrequently, were not easy to use, and generally were a nuisance to maintain from a webmaster’s perspective.
• The old images in galleries. We’ve made an attempt to keep the best images from those galleries, but unfortunately we had to let many of them fall off into the digital recycling bin. This just gives you an excuse to go out and take more pictures that will really showcase what Westover is all about! Those old galleries were a nightmare to manage and almost as difficult to use. We plan on moving a lot of our “fun” pictures over to Facebook, watch for announcements!
• Prayer list and concerns. We may bring this back if demand is sufficient, but the old list was rarely used. Please send all requests through the traditional prayer chain.
